This page describes the tasks of international volunteers at MSSP. There are several tasks to be done in order to achieve this international educational project.

Teach English to elementary school (7 to 13 years old) and junior high school (13 to 16 years old) students together with Meisei University students.
MSSP adopts team teaching. You and Meisei University students mutually built up each English lesson.
2.Create teaching plans and teaching materials for 45 minutes lesson.
-Each volunteer is encouraged to bring photos and something to introduce the culture of your home country.
You are encouraged to show and introduce them at the booth in the international exchange event.
3. Participate in setting of the sites/classrooms, organize opening and closing ceremonies, and perform other duties to run the summer school.
– MSSP has extra activities such as Baseball Camp, one shot Basketball, and Open Campus.
One of the tasks is support and help to MSSP participant’s class in each grade. The members of MSSP are students and typically pre-service teachers. Volunteers participate in actual class of MSSP participants and actively join in their activities and games. Therefore, it is necessary to discuss the teaching materials and the contents of activities with Meisei university students.
It is we who create syllabi, teaching materials, and invent new teaching methodologies. We except Volunteers and Meisei University students will prepare and present wonderful lessons and cooperate with each other. We will contact the volunteers by e-mail about teaching materials, contents of activities and syllabi.
Even though, it is not enough by arranging in advance, many rehearsals can be carried out during the preparation. Furthermore, we appreciate the opportunity to talk to children about your country, culture, and circumstances. Children seldom know about foreign countries. If you talk about your country, this will be a wonderful opportunity for them. Our ability is not enough to achieve communication, however, we are enthusiastic about MSSP. Meisei Summer School Project is going to be a more powerful new international project.
